Today’s Topic: Blog Structure

Today’s Topic: Blog Structure

I typed in “structure” and this is what Google Images gave me.

I used to have a pretty tight blog structure.  It was categorized by days and what I would talk about each of those days (a conversation, random topics, an email or a story).  I am admitting now that this is not possible for me anymore since I will not be writing daily.  However, I’m going to still have quirky posts, random thoughts/ideas, and overall I’ll try to make it interesting.

A really cool blog that my friend Rizzo told me about is “A Year of Slow Cooking” — I got a slow cooker for Christmas.  I wasn’t sure what I’d make with it outside of chili cheese dip (a real winner on Super Bowl Sunday).  I ended up finding a pulled pork recipe online and tried it out two weeks ago.  Carlos and I thought we were master chefs…it tasted so good, we had leftovers and it was extremely cheap to make.

After telling Rizzo about my accomplishment, she directed me to that blog and today I’m trying this recipe.  Doesn’t that look good?  I put it in around 9am this morning and it should be done around 5:15pm or so.  Last night I pulled some ingredients we had and made a makeshift dessert…it was really easy but I wasn’t sure how it would turn out.  I took yellow cake mix, a can of pumpkin, added two eggs and some cinnamon and pumpkin spice…and whaalahhhh…an extremely moist (I hate that word) and edible cake!  I also added cream cheese frosting, so I’m pretty sure anything with that will taste good.

I love lounging around on Sunday’s.  Yesterday I was pretty lazy, too, but I’m fine with that.  Feels really nice to have nothing going on sometimes.

That’s all for now…will take a picture of how the slow cooker recipe turns out!
